About Angela Puglisi
Angela Puglisi MFA, Ph.D, is an artist, art historian and educator
She's a native of Italy and resides in Vienna, Virginia
Her works are in private USA, Europe, Brazil and Saudi collections.
The artist began her studies at the Corcoran College of Art with the color field painter, Leon Berkowitz. She also studied painting and art history at Catholic University where she received her graduate degrees. Dr Puglisi has taught the fine arts (pastel, drawing,watercolor and art history as a professorial lecturer, Art & Culture at Georgetown University SCS (26 years) and, previously
taught painting, drawing and art history at Catholic University in the school of continuing studies.
In addition, the artist has lectured in the Smithsonian Associate's Program
and conducted special lectures at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, in conjunction with her courses.
The artist was chosen to lecture on the Art and Culture of Tuscany, the Art and Culture of the Lombardy Region & the Dordogne Region in France. She created a series of paintings from these sojourns.
Her works have been sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus (Galleria in McLean, VA) for over six years.
Color and linear movement of form are elements which are a constant source of inspiration and exploration in all her works.
